The host totally lost control of the show and the two of them couldn't stop busting out characters and crazy smart one-liners one right on top of the other -- I don't think I've laughed so hard at a tv show before or since.
This is the episode, but I couldn't find any video.
Yep, I think that's the one.
It feels strange not to be able to dig up a clip of something specific on the internet these days. I'm spoiled by accessibility.
Anyway, I wish you could watch the segment, crash. You're warped; I think you'd appreciate it too.
Those were some silly but lightning quick brains in action and they just couldn't be stopped. They were one-upping each other, but not in competition, more like each couldn't get enough of someone who could actually keep up with them, totally off the cuff -- and cracking each other up the whole time.

Westboro have been picketing and say they are going to crash the funeral. I hope they get theirs one day. Terrible people.

Their placards are beyond grotesque. Saying he is in hell, and pictures with his head in flames.

It doesn't offend me that the Westboro haters may picket Robin Willams' funeral. They've been reduced to nothing but a predictable group of attention-seeking nutbags who have lost their shock value and don't incite condemnation for anyone but themselves.
I'd hope that those attending the funeral would feel the same way and view them as a bad joke, to either be ignored or ridiculed, void of any power to affect the celebration of life and the mourning of loss.
Though, I admit, it would be amusing as hell to watch Chris Rock or Wanda Sykes or Louis CK exchange some words with the Westboro Baptists before or after the funeral.

I read this morning that Williams's wife revealed he was battling the early stages of Parkinson's disease. After such a long battle with depression and substance abuse, maybe it was the proverbial straw.

Regarding Westboro, I don't like to really bring this subject up again. But those people will be so grief stricken that they won't have any fight in them to take those clowns. There will be guilt that they are dealing with, shock, what ifs, I could have, I should have, the pain will be so intense it will be white and very very raw. It's not the same as someone dying from dementia or cancer. There is a grieving process and almost a relief. I have witnessed that first hand. And there is that chance to not say goodbye or help. There is all that stuff going on. Those people could do permanent psychological damage to these vulnerable people.
I see the point that if Westboro turn up to protest your life or event that you know you are on the right track and doing the right thing in your life.
I intervened in a hanging last year, a young girl, we brought her back, but she ended up in ICU. I hope I am not oversharing, I know Crash PhD will let me know if I am. My warning level might go up.

Aussie, there are people who will protect the mourners if Westboro show up. they form a circle of love, I think they call it and those dreadful people from that church won't get near the service. they have pulled this bs with Elizabeth Edwards and many others. hell they wanted to do it with the hotshots who died in that fire in AZ last year.

My mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's a few years before the cancer and in the end that was the reason she quit fighting the cancer I think. Even in the early stages the symptoms are embarrassing to the point they don't want to leave the house. Top that with someone who is already depressed and well...

Don't be like that. Do you think that I have overshared a part of my life in this thread regarding my father? Part of my rationale was that I was previously ashamed and would tell people he died of a heart attack, it wasn't true. I didn't know how to process it. I think my life would have been much easier if my dad had been around. The pain doesn't leave you, you have a different kind of normal, it was a year after my uncle died.
I still blame myself. I wish I knew back then what I knew now. I thought he was bluffing. He wasn't. Even writing it, makes me feel like bad.
I am proud of your PhD. I don't want to do a PhD because I really do not want to do that much work, I know how hard to get it is.

I didn't think that was an overshare at all. It was pertinent to the topic, it was a good example to reinforce your point and I think it took a lot of courage on your part to post it here. Thank you.
I don't like to talk about it because I don't think it's that special. I don't think I'm any more special than the next person because I have it. I don't think I'm special at all. I don't have far greater intelligence than the next person, I'm not interested in all things intellectual and the pomposity associated with it. I loathe it. What I do have is a logical disposition and a lot of persistence. Fortunately for me, that's what I needed, and I had a great lot of support from a few people that I do admire for having a far greater intelligence level than me. If anything I owe it to them...I owed it to them to finish it..

KISS OFF
Well, Gene Simmons's has some deep thoughts about people like Robin Williams, Kurt Cobain and the nearly 1,000,000 Americans who suffer from severe depression and/or addiction and commit suicide each year.
Gene's recent interview
Drug addicts and alcoholics are always, "The world is a harsh place." My mother was in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany. I don't want to hear fuck all about "the world as a harsh place." She gets up every day, smells the roses and loves life. And for a putz, 20-year-old kid to say, "I'm depressed, I live in Seattle." Fuck you, then kill yourself.
I never understand, because I always call them on their bluff. I'm the guy who says "Jump!" when there's a guy on top of a building who says, "That's it, I can't take it anymore, I'm going to jump." Are you kidding? Why are you announcing it? Shut the fuck up, have some dignity and jump! You've got the crowd.
Nikki Sixx responded to Gene's interview via Tweets this week.
I struggled with addiction and depression but found recovery.Would you be happy if I killed myself instead? Also my 4 kids wouldnt been born.
I wonder if @genesimmons would still say how depressed people or addicts should kill themselves if it happend to his wife or kids?
