You're bitter and grasping at straws on this one, just admit it. Okay, sal. I'll admit that your argument is a sound one and I was wrong. You've convinced me that the only weird thing about his cabinet appointment is the fact that Dr. Ben Carson wasn't asked to lead HUD long long ago (I bet it's because he's black!). He's the perfect man for the job.

It's almost as if people are convinced that if they lose their minds over "everything Trump" things will change. "Did you hear that he talked on the phone to someone in Taiwan? Yep... World War III." Never has cabinet selection made this much publicity. If nothing else you gotta hand it to the guy for getting Americans involved in the day to day workings of our government.

I agree that he has gotten a lot of people following the political process and that can be a good thing, Gunnar.
He's made me, personally, way less interested in day to day political news than I used to be though (which can also be a good thing). There's too much bullshit and drama with little substance coming from the Trump campaign at this point. Maybe that will change. For now, some of the bullshit is funny enough to mock or discuss. But, most is just forgettable.

There's a guy in another political forum who posts up nude photos of Melania every day and considers it a civic duty to expose how classless our new first lady is. Personally I think she's easy on the eyes so his civic duties are wasted on me, but this is the same guy that praised Bill's blowjob and Kennedy's numerous affairs as macho achievements by men of power. I don't care about Bill's or Jack's affairs and I don't care that there's nude pics of Melania. Other countries have porn stars in Parliament. But this election has cast this country at the feet of the media, everyone is hungry for the next spoonful of shit. The divide between "us and them" has never been wider and the media moguls are laughing all the way to the bank.

Yeah, there's a scripted reality show type vibe coming from Trump and his team -- that's how it feels to me.
Lots of people like that kinda thing. I don't in general, and especially not when it's applied to our government and politics. But, that's where we're at. Nobody here at Mock is uninteresting or unentertaining about their disgust, elation, or apathy about Trump, the issues, or politics in general though. I like the political back and forth here.

There were people who viscerally hated Obama before he even stepped foot in the White House. If a different group of people carry the same feelings towards Trump (he can't do ANYTHING right, it just goes to show how extremely divided we are and why both sides are just stuck.
Trump doesn't like Alec Baldwin's SNL impressions of him. Poor baby. Commando Cunt Queen

There were not nation wide protests of Obama becoming president elect. There were no green party recounts for president elect Obama and there wasn't anywhere near the media coverage after the election compared to this years election. The differences are night and day.

The people didn't protest Obama's election because he didn't run a campaign promising to violate the constitutional rights of so many Americans. That's what Trump did, thus the large protests.
The Republican Congress, however, did protest the Obama election by stating their mission to block everything Obama tried to do, no matter what it was, in order to limit him to a single 4-year term. Fail. Trump is lucky that the Democratic Congress is not protesting him in the same way. Top Democratic congresspersons (and Bernie the Independent) have said they'll work with his administration on anything that benefits the people and will oppose him on any attempts to discriminate or violate the constitutional rights of Americans. Anyway, The 3 Percenters and other Trump supporters were ready to hit the streets in armed protest of a Hillary Clinton victory, according to their own pre-election pledges and organized planning. They were going to protest because they truly believed (and Trump reinforced) that their "second amendment rights were under siege", and that the election was rigged unless Trump won. And, those rally chanters and pledged protesters who believed Trump's unconstitutional and unwarranted promise to "lock Crooked Hillary up!"........whatta bunch of suckers. I don't hear them objecting to Trump's recently appointed National Security Adviser (Flynn) who openly admits to intentionally illegally sharing classified information with allies because he felt above the law (no investigation or charges filed), nor to Trump considering for Sec of State someone who was convicted of illegally intentionally sharing classified information with his biographer/mistress for personal gain (Petraeus). Anyway, if John Kasich, or Jeb Bush, or Marco Rubio............had been the Republican nominee and won the election, I think there probably would have been some protests by pro-choice activists and environmental activists. But, I don't believe the protests would have been anywhere near as large or diverse. It's clear to me that the size and diversity of the protests against Trump were a reflection upon the candidate and his own words and actions. He's already flip-flopped on several of the unconstitutional campaign promises that he used to rile his core supporters during the campaign though............so now the people wait to see what the least popular electoral winner of all time does once he takes office. If he goes back to threatening people's constitutional rights, expect a lot more warranted protests.

So they go looking for it, day after day of their miserable lives. " Oh look Trump doesn't like Baldwin's SNL skit, what a crybaby scumbag". It would be nice if they'd put their country first for once instead of their fantasies of our president failing just so they can get their sick jollies.

Baldwin is perfect to portray Trump.
He disrespects women and gays. Actually, he really isn't acting . . . he's just being himself. Who can forget his "little piggy" rant with his daughter. And the "toxic queen" gay slur. Yup. Baldwin is perfect!
