Sounds like if he begged right, you'd forgive him.

If a man is having serious feelings for the twit be is banging, something has to happen, like it did for Bullet and me. Nope, I won't get into any more detail on that topic.

By the way; I waited 35 years to get married and am very happy that I chose to wait, even with the current clusterfuck we are dealing with. I love Bullet and nothing will change that.
I hate when you throw something out there and then say I am not going to get into any more detail on that topic. ::irk::
Ah. Yes, well, we all have that "want to live a soap opera" fantasy life, don't we? Trust me; this story isn't a happy-ending fairy tale that you want to tell your children.

I have read all the posts and I think the bottom line is still this.
If someone cheats they have broken their trust with you and that can never really be fixed.
If you allow them back you have to be considered weak for allowing yourself to be disrespected on a really high level and then accepting that as being OK.

But what if they don't tell you and you don't know, somehow? Is that trust still broken?

I would say no. In this scenario and since you have no knowledge that they cheating has occurred, then to you your relationship is normal and nothing is wrong. so to you the trust is still strong.

Well yeah... the trust has still been broken, you just don't know about it.

Yep, there ya go. That is SO typical of people. It's why (I've been told) that police always bring 'backup' to a domestic violence dispute. They come in there with the intention of 'saving' someone, and instead both partners turn on the cop.

I also would never 'cheat' on someone. If I wanted to be with someone else, I would break off the first relationship first. That's just the way I am. If it were a friend who was cheating or being cheated on... well I think that depends on the circumstances, but I agree that my loyalty would go to my friend.

Me too. I'd rather break up first instead of showing myself and anyone else how I don't have integrity.

Sinister Wrote:Ok, Mr. Sainted Liquid Who Would Never Cheat; if your wife fucked around on you, would you want her to tell you, or keep it to herself? And don't say she wouldn't cheat, because the only person that knows the answer to that questionfor sure is the person being asked.
I know this wasn't directed at me, but since I had the same 'I wouldn't cheat' response...

If my husband (or boyfriend if that were the case) were cheating on me... again it depends. If it were really a very shallow one-time fling thing, I'd say keep it to yourself, asshole. Don't try to assuage your guilt by 'confessing' and then expecting forgiveness. Live with it and stfu. Of course if they ended up giving me an STD because of it or something, I would have to castrate them in their sleep.

If it were something more serious, like if they were actually thinking of leaving me for the person, they'd sure as hell BETTER tell me, because if I found out on my own (and I WOULD find out), no one would find the bodies for a very long time.

Fuckin-A.....I am living proof of that sentiment.

Yes, yes, Bullet was married when I first met him. So now it's all out there; he was mmarried when I met him and is in prison for 2nd degree murder. Now you have plenty to come at him with when he gets here!! ::bigg:: ::thumbs:: Have fun with that......

Anyhoo..... When women and men start seeing sex the same way, there will be far fewer divorces, methinks. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!!!!
I think it's interesting that your hubby's name is 'Bullet'. That's the name of the main character in a novel I wrote quite a while back (sort of a vampire western which evolves to modern day). It's the only other time I've seen that used as a name though.

This thread really turned interesting after my boring ass left.

I hope I never have to find out what I would actually do in that situation...I would be crushed & my heart would be broken...Trust means everything to me & if I can't trust someone I don't see why I would want to put any more of myself into that relationship...I probably wouldn't even be able to look at him without my heart breaking all over again...After I kicked him to the curb there would just me, my horses, my hound & my laptop and I'd die a crazy old woman.
