I'm hoping and praying that she can help me come up with a nice meatball recipe that I can put in the crock pot for meatball subs. That wonderful little cook-a-doodle is one of the best for suggesting some of the greatest manna from heaven dishes. I'm jonesing for meat ball subs like crazy for some reason and the weekend is almost here.

Season one pound of ground sirloin with salt and pepper to taste, like a pinch. Add 1 egg, 1⁄2 cup of Italian bread crumbs, 1⁄2 cup grated parmesan, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1⁄2 Tbsp. dried parsley and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Mix all together with your clean hands, roll into balls and drop into your sauce in the crock pot. Cook on low all day and skim off any grease that rises to the top with a spoon.

Thank you Sally that looks pretty simple. What about the sauce?

Two meatballs up your arse, you will not worry about sauce, is my guess

You could buy jar sauce to make it easier. Rao's marinara is good. But if you want to make it homemade, I cook diced onion and garlic in olive oil for a couple minutes and season with salt and pepper, add a cup of red wine like Chianti, add 2 28 ounce cans crushed tomatoes, add a heaping Tbsp. tomato paste, a pinch of dried oregano and some chopped fresh basil. Then put it in the crockpot and add meatballs. May as well toss some sausage in there too. Not your sausage, the store bought sausage.

Yeah I'm thinking just a spicy jar of sauce.

This sauce is good enough to not bother dicking around making your own and it's spicy.
