History, like everything, should be read with a critical eye -- always.

Maybe you haven't notice but human beings have this pronounced tendency to go from one extreme to another, rarely -- if ever -- achieving balance. The old history is flawed, and so is the "new" history.

It substitutes a black-centric perspective for the traditional Euro-centric perspective, rather than adopt a perspective that seeks to eliminate any and all favoritism.

I see no reason why white people should accept black-centered "social justice". For anyone who isn't riddled with guilt, it's a non-sequitur; if, on the other hand, you were to ask if I would accept something that ensured equal access to opportunity, I would wholeheartedly say yes.

Wanting equal outcomes is wanting to live in world without risk, and in such a world there is no incentive to strive for excellence. We are already halfway there and the effects are devastating -- we are becoming like the mice in Calhoun's utopia experiments.

It was and is taught in school, what more do you fuckheads want? I remember in high-school the dumbass teacher making us watch Mississippi burning in the classroom that started a riot. We know they were treated bad. We fucking know, everybody fucking knows already.

Also kids are really fucking stupid so depending on the age and maturity level you need to be careful about how you go about teaching the history of racism or you'll run into the example I just posted. It only causes more diversity. There is a huge difference between college kids and highschoolers. History is history and it should be taught like any other history. What you fail to see is the perspective from another person's point of view. You personally have not encountered it so you say why is anyone making any kind of a big deal about it?
And then you go further to say kids should not be made to feel guilty-which I could agree to a point okay-but what about the kids that have endured injustice-what of them?
In one of the books I listed it talked about how anyone can be or have racist thoughts-it wasn't just directed at white people by the way.
Do I think everyone should be walking around feeling guilty? No, but I think people could be more aware of injustices that do exist-and I'm not talking about statues and books-I am talking about laws, rules, practices that keep people of color from having the same opportunities that a white person might have.
What is so difficult about that?
