Aren't there rules for that? Criteria and guidelines, shit like that. I ask because none of that should be done in a willy nilly manner. You leave me with the impression anyone can make that ^^^^^^ happen at the drop of a hat.

Only States could ban abortions if Roe v Wade was changed. The feds do not give or take away that. But this is what the left wants people to think because well.........people cannot think for themselves apparently.

I have no idea why this is happening, a woman's right to abortion should be sacred.

I don't think it's about babies, if it were they would care about them AFTER they were born. It's about power & control.

What does that even mean? I think there are 26 states that are chomping at the bit to get this over with, they have "trigger laws" which will go into effect the minute abortion is banned. Women in those states will be forced to give birth. How is that right?
The Left aren't the people gaslighting dumb Americans.

In some states the abortion limit is between 24 and 26 weeks. There is no excuse to wait that long unless there is a severe fetal anomaly found. In some states parents can just take their minor children to some quack and get puberty blockers and hormone therapy prescribed. My friend's daughter could have gotten it here, but she made her wait until she was 18.

"The Left" is all about gaslighting people who oppose vaccine mandates, CRT, and censorship of "misinformation". *Both* parties are toxic cesspools of extremist ideology that undermines the health and integrity of this nation.

I've seen politicians and media heads state that anti-vaxxers are a threat to society, and that parents that push back against the school boards promoting CRT in classrooms are domestic terrorists. That they need reeducation. I've seen a lot of that sort of rhetoric from the left, which is ironic because whenever they're on the receiving end they call it hate speech.
Both parties abuse government power when they have it, but instead of working to curtail it, partisans keep supporting their respective party, like chickens running around after their heads have been cut off. Power is dangerous, period, and we're fools for allowing it to get this out of hand.

Louisiana has a new fetal personhood bill that their House republicans voted 7-2 making abortion a crime of homicide from the moment of fertilization. It allows prosecutors to charge women with murder.

Republican senator, Kevin Cramer of North Dakota says a fetus is worth a mother's life and does not support any exceptions to an abortion ban.

You have a really bad memory. 6 or so months ago the National School Boards Association wrote to the DOJ suggesting that parents who object to mask mandates and the promotion of CRT in classrooms are domestic terrorists. Don't know how you missed that because there was quite a furor over it, and most of the media supported that characterization 110%.

rothschild, I ask this in all seriousness, not being snarky at all--why are we still dealing with the CRT bullshit? I'm not referring to you & I, I'm asking in general terms only. People have been told over & over again that CRT is not being taught in their schools and they continue to insist it is without having any proof of it. As far as I can tell, their problem lies in HISTORY being taught. So why won't they own that? They are banning books FFS!

Because you're still pretending that there is no diference between the *teaching* of a theory, and the *practice* of a theory. The people who're claiming that it isn't being "taught" are lying, because they know perfectly well that the American education system is inundated with CRT, as evidenced by reading lists that consist almost entirely of materials that relate to CRT.
Anyway, thanks for acknowledging that you were wrong about my statement being bullshit. Very classy of you.

I actually debated with myself before asking that question because I knew it would require you to make a valid assessment of what is going on. You weren't able to and I regret asking. I knew better and did so anyway.

By the way, are you aware that Ruth Bader Ginsburg stated that she thought Roe vs Wade overreached, and was concerned that as a consequence it would likely be overturned?
Guess Republicans aren't the only ones that don't consider it to be "settled law". Imagine that.

Unlike you, I don't make assessments on the basis of hearsay and unsubstantiated assertions.
