Help. I absolutely get your position. Being from Texas and wearing a Stetson "does not a country singer make". The Rolling Stones did a shit-ton of "country" tracks. Never heard them on any of AZ's country radio stations . . . yet they were undeniably worthy of airplay for that genre. Or the Pointer Sisters . . . considering they were the first all black and female group, to win a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance in the 1970's . . . not on any country stations that I remember. And they were the first black group (I believe) to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. (Might be wrong on that one . . . )
