you can get your ass kicked by a gang member, He gets hit with a battery charge walks out of the jail in two hours with no loss of his rights, you hit your wife for acting like a stupid bitch like username and you lose your 2^nd amendment right to keep and bear arms.

Maybe, just maybe, you could look at this and say "hmmmm, the gang member should get more time" and not look at it and say "I'm justified in hitting my wife and not losing my gun priviliges because a gang banger can hit me and get out of jail quickly".
