Shoes - yes or no in the house?

You like your Roomba? My MIL gave us one for Christmas..and the jury is still out. Does a decent job on the spots it gets..but tends to miss quite a few spots, while constantly going over the same spot.

It's Ok for the main traffic area by the door and the middle part of the living room. I wouldn't buy another one (got a heavy discount on this one).

I don't like swiffers. I vacuum the area rugs and have an old fashioned string mop I use on the floors (Pinesol makes me happy). I have a decent Bissell carpet machine I use every month or so and a Shark steamer I use if I feel the presence of too many germs.
