Shoes - yes or no in the house?

Yes we take our shoes off at the door, and we put them in a basket kept by the door. We don't force guests to take off their shoes, but most those who see us take them off usually follow suit.

The reason is not just to keep floors clean. Studies have proven that the "bottoms" of shoes that have been god knows where, are contaminated with "germs" that can/will spread all over your floors/carpets, so . . . .
