The old testament is still valid, I am not quoting law but prophesy that is still unfulfilled. Even in Daniel some of the scriptures matches up with what is in Revelation. Also, when Nebachadnezzar had his disturbing dream, Daniel said to him this relates to the 'end of days' or end times.
The four horsemen of the apocalypse are Revelation 6,1-8. Also when Peter had a vision he saw 4 heavenly creatures for food consumption Acts 10.11-15.
