I went through a bankruptcy and foreclosure and I managed to keep my cat due to being very diligent in looking for an apartment that allowed pets. I can't believe people that would give up an animal like this, to me it's like giving up your kid. Fuckers.

I would become tee-total and eat all my meals out of cans so I could provide my hamsters with all the food and other stuff they need if I had to because of struggling finances.
When you buy a pet you take on the full responsibility for that animals welfare, it is a responsibility I have always taken very seriously. Pets, especially caged pets, are beholden to the owner for everything and that owner has the duty to provide it.

I would probably eat my pet.::
