HotD, not sure if you mean 'speak for' as in 'speak in favor of', or as in 'speak in the name of'?

If it's the first, I can only see that I did it in the case of RG after he was banned. a) he is my friend, and b) I strongly dislike bans, so I spoke up.

If it's the latter, well, basically what username said, plus - I see this thread as kind of my only opportunity for now to interact with ppl without feeling like intruding a conversation of insiders, so I basically jump on every opportunity to do so. Besides, apart from the "he's a teacher" bit, I can't really see much of myself speaking for anybody else.

But I am interested that you perceive it differently - care to elaborate?

Thanks for your reply. Fair enough. I don't have an opinion about it or a problem with it, just an observation about a different dynamic than I usually see here. As this is your intro thread, it was the right place and opportunity to inquire.

Edit/Add (to responses upthread): Regarding bans, I don't initiate them, but I respect whatever Duchess decides and leave it at that. She usually gives warnings in advance and they rarely happen.
