Love isn't blind for me, but it's not arrogant either. I know that the people who love me have to put with my flaws and I'm happy to do the same in turn. In fact, knowing and mocking each others' flaws is often how we show affection and is the source for a lot of laughs (not a sensitive bunch).
But, I have loved a couple of people (non-family) whose flaws were truly lifestyle and stability ruiners; those haven't been overlooked or celebrated. Those types of "flaws" instead resulted in offering help and disengaging until/unless the situation changed.
