Try this ....
Carmelized bacon!
1⁄2 Cup Bro Sugar
1⁄2 Cup Chopped or Whole Pecans
2 TSP Kosher Salt
1 TSP (Fresh) ground pepper
1⁄8 TSP Ground Cayenne Pepper
2 TBSP (Pure) Maple Syrup
1⁄2 LB THICK SLICED Applewood-Smoked Bacon
Preheat Oven to 375
Have a wire rack over an aluminum covered cookie tray, if no wire rack a plain cookie tray will work.
Combine all the dry stuff (including the nuts) in a food processor until it has a fine texture. Then add the maple syrup to moisten it up.
Cut the bacon strip in halves or bite size portions - Use a spoon to spread the mixture atop the bacon and bake for 25-30 minutes. You want it to brown (crisp) but not burn. If it is underbaked, the bacon will not get crispy.
Take it off the tray and place upon anything that will soak up excess grease from the bacon, I use papertowels and a plate. Let it cool to room temp, and serve with a good cocktail!!!!
