Is cursive writing a lost art?

I learned to write cursive in 2^nd grade, what are they doing that they don't have time to teach the kid how to write the alphabet in cursive so they at least know how to sign their name?

Signatures will become a thing of the past.

We'll all walk around with our own unique 'stamp' for those purposes.
