There are many blacks who excel at water sports; seen 'em with my own two eyes. I'll keep it limited to Americans only, for you.
I've seen black surfers shred with the best of 'em at Rockaway Beach. My second Klamath river rafting guide was a black woman. I've boated and scuba dived with a few black partners. Once, I took a long bubble bath...well, that one we can skip...
Anyway, Mr. Jones is well known, so I used him only as a (very 'effin fine) example; his interest and excellence in the water is not analogous to Mr. Livingstone's experience. Mr. Jones is not the first black man who likes all things wet. Not by a long shot.
