Seriously, I understand Scotto's decision to move out of the state. It is tough and expensive to operate in California. It's smart to relocate to a place where the cost of doing business is lower and there aren't actually financial disincentives (mostly tied to labor laws) associated with growing and adding employees.
I wish I thought this major loss for the state would send a message and have an impact on business regulations and business/employer taxes in California, but I don't. Toyota's not the first to jump ship and the outward migration has not made the state any more business-friendly.
