I think she is responsible for Not contacting parents or authorities when she knew what he was doing.
Then again if someone is threatening to jump off a building and some asshole yells "JUMP" they are held responsible.
I have a hard time working up much sympathy for suicides, I been through all kinds shit and none of it was worth dieing over.
Lost a good woman to suicide, took her 3 or 4 tries but she finally got it done.

Depression, like many mental health disorders are misunderstood. This young man was not a "weak fuck." He apparently suffered from severe depression. When suicidal people try or say they are going to kill themselves, it is their way of asking for help. Never, ever, "egg" someone on to go ahead and kill yourself.....The bratty young lady should have stepped aside and called emergency services as she was in over her head regardless of her intentions. But, regardless of her taunts to go ahead and kill himself, he would have done it regardless at some point IMO. The depressed brain takes over and you can't see yourself ever getting out of the deep, dark hole you are in...life seems hopeless, you question your existence, your purpose. You can be rich, poor, have everything in the world going for you, but still suffer from this disease. It is not selfishness which causes people to "off" themselves, but a true deep seated depression which destroys your soul. Therapy and/or drugs can sometimes slow down the progress of the intended suicide, but according to some research, no amount of intervention will help a patient suffering from clinical depression. One of the students where I worked killed himself at home over the holidays. He had taken his girlfriend to meet his parents and they found him hanging in the bathroom....He was quiet but never gave anyone a clue about his inner self. He never wanted to participate in group where people felt comfortable (or not) sharing their feelings. He certainly never mentioned suicide. Some do, some don't...sorry to disagree, but don't think this is caused by any weakness, rather, a devastating disease which is often not diagnosed or misdiagnosed or just ignored. Depression also runs in families. I may have mentioned before that my brother was a patient for 2 years in a mental health facility (Menninger's)in Topeka, Kansas....
