Despite having been shot in the back several times and having a kidney and part of her colon removed thereafter, Vicki Gardner (pictured above with husband Tim), is expected to make a slow but full recovery.
She is the executive director of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce and was being interviewed and filmed live by WDBJ reporter Alison Parker and camera man Adam Ward when they were shot dead.
