I think it's very cool to have things to pass down. I have no one to give the stuff that has been passed on to me like my great-grandmother's hideous china. I was bequeathed a gorgeous fur coat too, I could never wear it because of what it was but I paid storage on it for quite a few years until I had the brilliant idea to find a seamstress who turned it into several teddy bears that were donated to the children's burn unit. I have some jewelry too but I'm not really someone who is into that sort of thing.
