-- The shooter had his conceal carry permitted handgun with him when he visited the FBI in Alaska two months ago and told them about the voices telling him to follow ISIS. He was taken to local LE and his gun was taken from him when he agreed to commit himself for mental health evaluation. He was released 4 days later and his gun was returned. Authorities believe it's the same 9mm Santiago used in the mass shooting.

Pretty incredible, huh. I understand there is protocol and legalities involved but they knew he was unstable and they knew he could be violent and still, they gave him gun back. Man.
