Maggot, they same guys built my ramp on the front of the house a couple years back, and it has held up well.  Had it stained and looks good.  Will have to take a picture some time.  Do you have to have a building inspector come out in your state to look it over? Had to do it here.  Had to tweak a couple things on the ramp before he would pass it, but he passed the deck the first go round.
