Trying to make Frank look crazed because he said his dog 'talks', especially after he explained what he meant, is just dumb. We all know that he doesn't mean he has deep philosophical discussions with the dog. Some dogs ARE very 'vocal' and dogs who have close bonds with their owner, often DO sort of mimic our verbal patterns. It's especially common with certain breeds like shepherds and husky/malamute types. Dogs are also very good communicators, if you pay attention to them.

Whats wrong with having a deep philosophical discussion with the dog? Just because all they do is listen doesn't mean its a BAD thing... sometimes its good to just talk it out for yourself. Though I'd have to agree that dogs communicate very well, though I think the problem here is that a lot of it is body language and subliminal communication and poor Opie just can't communicate on other wavelengths.
