When I lived in CA, I remember one lovely summer day we were outside, doing some yard work when we heard our neighbor suddenly start screeching, cursing and wailing like a banshee in a leg-trap. We went over to the fence to see what was wrong and he was chasing one of his goldens around the yard. Tears were streaming down his face. We thought someone had died or something, but it turned out that he left his wallet on the ground and the dog had pulled his money out and eaten it (apparently a rather hefty sum of money). Poor guy.
