However, if you are infected by a 'time release' bug, it will simply activate the next time you turn your computer on. If the idea is to keep others from infecting you... it would be more likely to occur at some point over the next few days than all of a sudden overnight.
I don't think it's good practice to leave your computer running at night anyway. A lot of people do that, but it just puts more wear and tear on your components.
