I actually think that it's only 'illegal' for those directly involved in the case to discuss the details. If anything, the 'jury' members (if a jury is involved) are generally instructed not to 'pollute' themselves with outside sources of information. As I understand it, the general protocol is that they are not supposed to watch the news, read newspapers, surf the internet or engage in casual discussion of the cases they are involved with. I don't know the specific laws in MI, but I think MF is just being his usual overprotective, anal self. But that's ok, we love him anyway. :kiss::
