Finally!
Anyway, apparently Jesse James was marketed back then as a modern day Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Strange, I had never heard that about him... but I had read that he killed a shitload of people, classifying him nowadays as a serial killer.
The way he was portrayed in the movie by Brad Pitt was not a sympathetic character and I was actually glad to see him dead. And 'the dirty little coward" Robert Ford came across as a lot easier to relate to, at least for me. Jesse, in the movie, was a paranoid, sadistic bully that killed his friends and partners if the mood struck. Robert and Charlie Ford were kept under close observation and weren't allowed to be alone together since Jesse James was sure they were conspiring against him. They in turn were afraid they'd be killed at any time. And this shit went on for 2 1⁄2 hours in the movie...
ARGH!!
