How 'Private' should PMs be?

i have learned that nothing is truly private, so i keep PMs innocuous. if i am close enough to the person, and trust them, we can email.

generally forum etiquette precludes posting PMs.

if it's vicious or a threat it should be forwarded to admin. of course.
