Be careful when checking the cornfield

I sometimes look out the kitchen window and see black snakes stretched out across the bricks. I'm assuming they're there for the warmth. I think many people don't know that snakes are good to have around, or they do and don't care, they have an extreme dislike of them, like me with spiders. *shudders*
