There's always going to be extremists and a group to sell the fear to gain control and power.

I would say that's only extreme for those not fortunate enough to breathe the rarefied air at the top of the food chain. The *only* way you get to the top is by ditching your humanity, so up there it's perfectly normal.

It's so much easier to hunt prey when they think you're their friend.
