The first thing that comes to mind is the movie "Runaway Bride" with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere (from the late 80s or early 90s). It was a pretty good movie about a woman who kept leaving guys at the alter and quickly getting into another relationship.
Also, the tv series "Saving Grace" with Holly Hunter (who I really like) from like 10 or 15 years ago. She was involved with one man, then was seeing two at once, then broke up with one for the other, sometimes having drunken one-night-stands, etc...
And the movie "Reality Bites" -- the college student character played by Janeane Garofalo was a Gen X field-player.
