My Mum is 95. My Mum lives alone.
Her cognitive skills show no signs of incapacity or decline. Her memory is almost eidetic with her ability to recall events.
Physically . . . she's slowed a bit. Our walks are now less than two miles.
Her eyesight is progressively failing. However . . .
She makes her own travel reservations, often travels alone and maintains an active social life (almost more than my brothers' and mine combined . . . not hyperbole).
On one medication . . . a very low dose for hypertension. She gets high BP from being around me!
She also has no tolerance for the "old people" in DC . . . on either side of the isle who are unable or incapable to do their job.
Yup . . . my Mum is an ageist.
