I went from dating someone 8 yrs younger than me to someone 8 years older than me and I didn't like either of the age differences. 20 years seems like a lot to me even in this day and age. But, to each their own, I guess. I wouldn't be comfortable with it.

My boys are 9 and 12. They know I have a friend from work and we talk on the phne sometimes or text. We mght get something to eat after work one night. I have a lot of male friends that are just friends. Why would the kids think BF is any different? And really, the only reason I don't introduce him to my kids as my boyfriend and have him over all the time is because deep down I know this isn't going to last. Why would I do that to my kids? Get them attached to a guy when I know he could be gone at any time? His age has nothing to do with that. If he were 40 and I knew it was never going to last, I wouldn't bring him into my family. We don't walk around pretending we are just friends. But at work, we don't walk around acting like a couple holding hands either. We are professional at work. People see us go to lunch together. Some know we date, some don't. It's a big commpany. He has lots of friends his own age. I have even asked him why he isn't with someone his own age. His answer is the same - women my age are more mature. Why are you so hung up thinking we are sneaking around? Like we sneak out at lunch time with our dark glasses on to go fuck??
