Trump Is Runaway Debate Winner Newsmax Poll



The GOP presidential debate winner Wednesday night was dominant front-runner Donald Trump, a Newsmax Poll finds.


In early results from a poll of Newsmax TV viewers, the billionaire businessman logged 46 percent support, while former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina came in second, with 20 percent.

I didn't see the entire debate and I just read about the Planned Parenthood topic. Apparently Chris Christie said that Hillary supports the systematic murder of children in the womb to preserve their body parts in a way that maximizes their sale for profit with Carly adding, "I dare Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, 'We have to keep this alive to harvest its brain." The scene she described doesn't exist anywhere in videos.

I noticed that fabrication; I watched the videos. When it comes to abortion and Planned Parenthood, there's no one in the GOP that I can think of who doesn't employ such tactics though.

I haven't had a chance to read any debate "fact check" pieces yet, but there were a couple of other statements that had me asking, "oh really?"

The numbers and scenario Fiorina cited in regards to her tenure at Hewlett-Packard is one example.

Chris Christie's claim that Social Security will run out in only 7 years was another.

In terms of foreign policy, it was discouraging to hear both Fiorina and Christie proclaim that they wouldn't even talk to some world leaders, like Vladimir Putin. That's a vote deal-breaker for me. Terrible isolationist strategy, in my opinion.

And, I think Scott Walker looks silly suggesting that cancelling a dinner reception for Chinese leaders at the White House would somehow be a wise and effective foreign policy move. Wafflin' Jeb was right when he pointed out that would be a worthless gesture.

I did like Fiorina's answer to what woman should be placed on the $10 bill. She said there's no reason to change the bill; it's an empty gesture.

I don't care one way or another about who's on the bill. What I care about is women being paid the same number of $10 bills per hour to do the same job as their male counterparts (all other factors being equal).

Couth , while it may be important to some, not so much to me. I would rather have a prez with a set of balls, that speaks his mind. That way there is no confusion as to where they are coming from. That doesn't surprise me. Newsmax has been a Trump vehicle for years.

I think that's the station where he did a lot of his birther spiels and even had his own birth certificate televised. He's a character.

It'll be interesting to see if Trump's numbers across all polls hold steady after last night's debate.

I thought Trump was more professional and did a better job this time out. And, he made me laugh a couple of times.

But, in my opinion, Trump is way over his head when it comes to seriously addressing the issues and it's going to get worse as candidates and media start pushing on him harder to back-up his false rhetoric (like the moderator last night did in regards to vaccines and autism).

One thing I think Trump would do is get us out of debt. I mean we would have to file bankruptcy first, but hey, it worked for him.

I think he would address the issues like everyman and not with double speak. Heads of states, Kings, Queens and Rulers appreciate that and good or bad its what makes things happen.
Although when Iran proclaims "death to America" we as a people are expected to dismiss it.

It's interesting how we all have different takes.

I find Trump to be the king of double-speak, false rhetoric, and empty promises.

But, Bush is striking me as deserving of the Waffle crown. It's hard to know from one interview to the next what his position REALLY is. His attempt to be badass with Trump last night was pretty amusing though.

I thought he did ok with that. Although he thinks vaccines cause autism which is crazy he only suggested the vaccines be spaced out in smaller doses and both Carson and Paul agreed. I didn't get the feeling that banning vaccines from the country is at the top of his priority list.

Autism and cancer has become more noticeable and widespread since the 50's. I'm not sure if its because its been categorized, diagnosed or environmentally antagonized more though.

From the little I have read and I admit I haven't done a lot of reading on this subject, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the ingredients in these vaccine's contribute to autism and other illnesses. I was unaware that Mercury was used in making some of the substances that are in a vaccine. I was also unaware that autism has raised 1000% since 1990. That is if what I have read is correct.

Difference of opinion.

To me, Trump looked silly trying to dispute what Dr. Carson had nicely just explained to him by claiming that the baby of someone he knows got a lot of vaccinations at once and then suddenty became autistic!

His attempt to argue that his opinion about that personal experience somehow overrides the sound research of the medical community and makes his false rhetoric true is an example of a Trumpism. Carson was cool in admitting that he also thinks too much vaccine at once can be a problem, which gave Trump an opportunity for an out by claiming, "that's all I'm saying". No it wasn't all he was saying. He was saying, once again, that some vaccinations and too much vaccination at once causes autism - which is false, according to Carson and the medical community.

But, I don't think that on its own hurt him much with most people. "That's just Trump". I agree with you there. I think it's an example of how he's going to start getting pushed and struggle to back up some of his other unsubstantiated claims.

I'm still waiting for Trump to provide his proof that the Mexican government is engaged in a conspiracy to gather up their rapists and murderers and send them over the border illegally. He's been asked over and over to substantiate that oft-repeated allegation and only says, "I've been to the border; I talked to a patrol agent; you're not a baby" and then changes the subject.

Good question Sally. Like I said, I haven't read enough about this subject to answer it. I have a feeling its like everything else. Manufacturers are told yep, its ok sell it. Then years later they find out people are dying from it. Then it's all, Nope, cant use that anymore its dangerous. Then the law suits start.
