Yeah, without polls where the heck would we be? Getting rid of them would be un-American. Freedom is not for the lazy.

I don't know where the heck we would be without polls. Probably with more candidates going for longer in the race; all doing their own individual voter surveys.

It surprised me, when I sided with The Donald 93%!

I won't be able to watch the live coverage of the debate tonight, but I'm looking forward to watching it when I get home. It will be interesting to see if FOX's type of questioning is any different this time out, and how hard Trump pursues Rubio's "sloppy" accounting and Carson's yet unverified accounts of violence he carried out in his youth.
I saw some excerpts and photos from a Carson interview and tour of his home last year. ^ That's one of the pictures on display at the Carson home. Carson credits Jesus for saving him after he says he tried to attack his mother with a hammer and tried to stab a classmate in the gut, but hit the boy's belt buckle instead (he now says the media can't locate the boy because it was really a family member he tried to stab and he won't give the name). Trump's been having some fun joking about how having a self-described "pathological" and "violent" past are key campaign points for the doctor.

Is it just me, or does Carson seem like he's "on" something when being interviewed/questioned, or even during the debates?

I've only recently started paying attention to him and I think he's a weirdo. Some of the stuff he says is so out there. When I heard him say the pyramids were for storing grain or wheat or whatever the hell it was, I thought he was joking!

No, I noticed it and HotD said it too. It appears he managed to stay sober for the painting of him and Jesus Christ, however.

I just read that Ben Carson is complaining that the media is lying about him and he thinks the press should vet Hillary as aggressively as they have done him. Seriously? Is there anyone in all the land who has been more aggressively vetted as both Bill & Hillary. STFU Ben, you look stupid. Jesus.

We put each candidate under the microscope and sling shit. The only difference is who's doing the slinging. Ben and Hillary should both STFU. It's business as usual in the ring of American politics.

What's your beef with Hillary this time? The Dems have been saying that the only reason Bengazi was such a big deal is because Hillary was running for office. Now Carson is saying he's being vetted too aggressively. Honestly, you don't see the irony in that Duchess? C'mon GF. That sword cuts both ways. It's American politics. If you're going to throw your hat into the ring, expect to have shit flung at you.

I was laughing because he had the amazing audacity to suggest Hillary needs to be vetted as strongly as he is being vetted. I think that's hilarious. It's amusing to me that anyone on the face of the earth who pays attention to news/politics would think Hillary hadn't been completely vetted. Hahaha. They've done everything except tell her to place her feet in the stirrups.

This is such a weird campaign cycle on the Republican side.
Donald Trump really does not like being anywhere but at the top of of the polls. He watches them and cites them frequently and really knows how to use them to his advantage in targeting other candidates.
TRUMP ON IMMIGRATION: Other Republican candidates are attacking Trump's immigration platform. Kasich called it "silly" at the last debate. Trump's not backing down and insists that he'll round up all 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. and humanely deport them. It's been done before successfully, he claims, by Dwight Eisenhower. "Everybody likes Ike". Total bullshit. Ike's "Operation Wetback" all those decades ago was a bust and is largely viewed by historians as a disgrace. At most, 1 million Mexicans were deported, some died in the process, and the project ceased after only about a year. Ref: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/11/...ion-model/
TRUMP ON CARSON: In addition to illegal immigrants, Trump's currently all over Ben Carson's shit. Yesterday at a rally, Trump compared Carson's "pathological" disease to child molesting. He also strongly insinuated that Carson was a liar. "Give me a break, give me a break, give me a break", he said in response to Carson's story about being saved from stabbing someone when his knife broke against the young man's belt buckle. Ref: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/dona...da348844bf
CARSON THE PATHOLOGICAL, VIOLENT, MEDIA VICTIM: Meanwhile, Carson just keeps complaining about how the media is being unfair by questioning the claims he made in his books. He contends that nobody in the whole wide world has ever been scrutinized so much. He calls it a "witch hunt".
SOME OF CARSON'S UNVERIFIED/REFUTED CLAIMS: The belt buckle in question was worn by a classmate in Carson's first telling of the story. When questioned further, he claimed it actually belonged to a family member but refuses to say who. And, his claim that he tried to attack his mother with a hammer was refuted by his mother herself in a 1998 interview with the Detroit Free Press, that was before she got Alzheimer's. She told the reporter that she had trouble with her temper and was stopped from attacking Ben with a hammer when Ben's brother intervened. In addition, nobody in the class that day remembers Carson shielding his white classmates from an angry black mob at Detroit's Southwestern High following MLK's assassination, not one person. SECOND DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE DEBATE
Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and Martin O'Malley debated the issues at a CBS-hosted debate last night.
It was supposed to be an economic-oriented debate, but due to the situation in Paris, foreign policy was also discussed at length, as was immigration and gun control.
This is a 40 minute clip of all the key issues/points.
The day before the Paris attacks, President Obama had told George Stephanopoulos that ISIL wasn't growing stronger in Iraq and Syria, that they had been 'contained' in terms of expansion in those areas. That's actually true; key area has been reclaimed from ISIL by the Kurds with support from the coalition. But, obviously, the terrorists ability to pull off a coordinated attack on foreign ground was either underestimated earlier or has matured over time.
Obama's "contained" statement is being used against him nonetheless. Clinton kinda capitalized on that when she said, "we have to look at ISIS as the leading threat of an international terror network. It cannot be contained; it must be defeated," she said. "What the president has consistently said, which I agree with, is that we will support those who will take that fight to ISIS."
I think it was an interesting debate.
