I can't answer that, I don't know. I only know I can't stand that fucking fuckface. If Cruz and Trump were your only two candidates and you had to cast a vote, who would you vote for?
For me, neither one, I mentioned in earlier posts, I'm voting for Hillary!

Don't worry the powers that be will not let him or Bernie win. They will both get dragged through the mud when the realization sets in.

Trump is a big mouth asshole....people forget that the government has bailed him out financial twice.....not looking good for the economy.
Sanders...I only like him because he's pro legalization....biggest drawback is his age.
Hillary...she's been a political attention ho since the 60's and up and quit being secretary of state.....seems more interested in being the first woman president than anything she could bring to the table.
Face it...we're fucked

Howdy Cowboy_ron and welcome. We needed another pessimist up in here.
I'm encouraged by the 2016 election cycle. In my view, we've had more diversity in candidate choices this election than ever before. We've had established Democrats, established Republicans, an established Independent, a Libertarian, a Tea Party conservative, a couple of top level business executives, some governors, some senators, a former Sec of State, a self-proclaimed socialist, a couple of women, a couple of Latinos, a black Republican, some Christians, a Jew, a former Mormon, a Seventh Day Adventist... So, for me, if we the people are fucked by whoever ends up in the White House, we fucked ourselves.
So, tonight's the republican caucus in Nevada. I think Cruz's slimy tactics, even by politician standards, are sinking his ship. As it should be. I don't think he'll come in second, as projected. I think he'll finish lower. At least I hope so.
Today Spike Lee endorsed Bernie Sanders. I think that could really help Bernie going into the democratic primary in SC. He has endorsements from Killer Mike, Harry Belafonte, and Danny Glover. But I think Spike Lee is probably the most significant for tapping into the black voter base.
Right now, Sanders is only one pledged/earned delegate behind Clinton. She's got a kick ass ad playing in SC headed into the democratic primary though; Morgan Freeman's voice and endorsement is a huge asset. She's also got the mothers of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown encouraging other black women to vote for Hillary.

When you say him, are you referring to Trump? I AM worried. He won again last night. A lot of people like seeing the freak show and that is translating into votes for him. Christ on a cracker, make that fucker disappear. *poof*

Ya know, I view them saying what they feel the black community wants to hear to get the votes, otherwise they don't give a fuck.....were they teabagging the black community before they figured out they needed their votes? Noooo

I think you're right that Sanders and Clinton are saying what they think the majority of the black population wants to hear, ron. They want to be elected, of course, so they want the votes that will them delegates. Around 80% of blacks are Democrats, and the U.S. population is about 13% black. Plus, in recent elections, blacks and other minorities have gone to the polls in record numbers, while white voter participation declined. The black vote is important to winning the Democratic nomination.
But, I think you're wrong that Sanders and Clinton haven't been focused on issues that affect the population for a very long time and are now just pandering or 'tea-bagging'. Sanders has been actively involved in the civil rights movement for many decades. He was also lamenting income inequality, praising truly universal health care, and preaching criminal justice reform before they entered into the national verbiage; all issues which greatly impact the black population. Clinton worked to help low-income black women and their children get governmental support early in her career (AND her husband played sax on Arsenio Hall in the 90s).
Aside from now pushing for more non-lethal police training (which I support, as do most people regardless of race or political affiliation), neither Sanders or Clinton is saying anything new that I can tell. They're just adjusting their campaign strategies to more directly target black voters because we're headed into primary states with larger black populations. It wouldn't have made much sense to focus their messages on black voters in almost all-white Iowa and New Hampshire. But, it makes all kinds of sense to do so going into South Carolina, Georgia...
That's how I see it anyhow.

I see a lot of similarities.
Last night, Trump won Nevada with 40+% of the Republican vote, after pundits had declared he'd hit a ceiling in the 30% range. They've miscalculated his ability to tap into GOP voters' fear and anger across the country all along.
Three huge victories in a row for Trump......and his two strongest Republican competitors are fighting with each other. Trump's gotta be loving it.
Anyway, today, Trump got his first two Congressional endorsements from representatives in New York and California. LINK: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/dona...6725e498fe
I think more establishment endorsements will follow; "if you can't beat him, join him." Truth IS stranger than fiction.

The biggest problem with Trump is how badly he reflects our absolute worst American cliche traits to the world, amplified by a thousand. Trump absolutely is 100% American: loud, brash, obnoxious and proudly stupid, and hateful/disdainful of anything deemed foreign. It took us eight years of thoughtful, measured politics to cleanse the world's palate from the last ignorant jackals we elected in Bush/Cheney. And damn near that long to repair most of the damage they did. Trump as president would ruin us as a country. Trump's followers would destroy us.
