Indian is back!
#1
I always liked the looks of the Indian motorcycles and now they are back in production. Out of the 3 bikes in the starting lineup I like the soft bagger best.
Welcome back Indian !!!

Have you seen the commercials, F.U? They're going after HD pretty hard. The one where the dude is polishing up his Sportster is funny as hell.

No I havent seen them yet. I will have to watch for them. I am a HD guy myself, but always loved Indians look. I am glad to see a American mad bike back on the market. I know Polaris is made in the U.S.A. but they did nothing for me. I just didn't like the looks of them.

If that first one with the leather bags wasn't modelled off of a Heritage Softail I'll stand fuckin' on the Opera House steps...

Thats probably why the soft bagger caught my eye, Crash. I always did like the Heritage. At least Indian has kept the lines of the original Indian fenders.

Those front 'guards (we call them mudguards) always reminded me of a Turkish infantry helmet from the First World War or something German...can't put my finger on it..

The soft bagger is only 21G [MSRP], so its right there with HD's price. It should give them a run for their money.

I am also glad the went a new direction with the engine.
Specs . . .
The new engine is an air-cooled,
49-degree V-Twin displacing 111 cubic inches from a 101mm bore and a 113mm stroke. Designing this 1811cc engine was made doubly difficult by the need to combine modern technology with the special Indian features that somehow live in the minds of American motorcyclists.

Specs . . .

There you guys go again...
