While waiting for the bus one morning a few kids were shooting airsoft guns at a target in one of the kid's front yard. They weren't on school property nor anywhere near it. These guns are pellet guns and are marketed as a toy. The school wants to expel them for the remainder of the school year. When did it become okay for a school to discipline kids who are not even in school or on school property?

Duchess...It's all part of the over reaching of authority like employers looking at employee's facebook pages and firing them predicated on their screwed up judgments based upon what they think they see. Also demanding that a employee not smoke on the job and also at home where the employer has no right to govern any employee's behavior.

I think that is wrong. The school has no right to dictate what the kids can and cannot do on their own time off school property. I am curious what the kids did with their guns when the bus came.

I won't be surprised to see a lawsuit arise out of this. The school released some personal information on one of the boys, they said the mother signed papers giving them permission to discuss her son, she denies that. She said at that point she hadn't even communicated with them but they spoke out about her kid on their FB page. They referred to him as a troublemaker.
Sometimes I think our country is going to Hell in a handbasket. The amazing audacity of those who think they are entitled to dictate what others do is mindblowing.

Yea this sort of over reaching by the school systems is getting pretty retarded. Unfortunately the reason for it is a lack of involvement by parents. Parents leave the school responsible for raising their kids.
Its part of the school homos anti gun bullshit.
