Jesus, the car owner's neighbor is a busybody dickshine and the cop a total dufus.

You can wash and detail your car in the driveway of your own house.

Even if the car owner and his buddy had a machine that was making some noise which MIGHT warrant a citation for public nuisance, that's way different than the cop insisting that the house's driveway is public property just because it's visible to others - that sounds like total bullshit.

I don't want to encompass all of law enforcement with this statement but the reality is, they are not held in very high regard here. It doesn't help that more often than not the light is shined only on those LEO's who are fuck ups and not on the ones that are honorable men/women. There are way, waaaaay too many of them in positions of power who abuse that power and many times it is recorded and then posted online for all the world to see.
