I have one subject to go till I have finished this Masters Degree. The subject is called 'Dementia, Depression and Delirium'. I will be using F2 as a guinea pig.
Another girl at work just finished her Masters and she hasn't got her results yet either. She has been 'headhunted' for another job.
As for me, I think I am going to stay where I am. Your normal work per hour is good, but then with the qualification I already have, I have 6.5% increase once I have finished that Dementia subject it will go up to 7.5%.
I am on mid summer break. It's a huge relief. When I am under an excessive amount of pressure I feel like the biggest loser in the world. I feel like I am going to fail and that I a nobody with no friends that no one wants to know. I think I have described it but I feel bad in every way possible. I also feel very unattractive, ugly, old, poor.
I don't feel like that today, now I feel normal. But when I have been under excessive pressure I feel like I could die. It is very isolating and devastating. I am actually looking forward to working as much as possible over the summer break and not have study pressure. That's my lot.
Well done Aussie, congratulations.
You may reconsider not wanting to be "headhunted" as your friend, after receiving your Masters. It depends on how satisfied you will be with the 7.5% you old employer will give you. Many of the personnel who worked for me, were not satisfied with the 7% to 10% I was authorized to offer them to keep them. After getting their Masters, many headhunters were able to entice them to leave offering them 25% to 30% (one even 40%) increases to do so. I could not match that kind of increase, even though in many cases I wanted to, so they left. When you boil it down, for most, it really is about the money. As there are very few who work will for pride, cause they said you can't spend pride.
Would you be enticed to leave for a 40% increase, only somewhat knowing you, I may be wrong but I believe you would not.

Aussie, you have accomplished a lot. You need to feel proud of yourself, you know the old adage, Counselor, know thyself.....Easier said than done, but you are going to do great because your are dedicated to your profession. You are not ugly, old (i am old), and you won't be poor forever on any given day, but if it helps, we all feel that way at certain times especially with major stress going on in our lives.
I think for your last test, you could have used each of us for subjects, to describe a variety of afflictions.

Don't say it if you don't mean it.
That sounded like my 7 year old telling his 6 year old sister, "sorry I ruined that drawing you were working on for the last 2 hours."

I went to the doctor and he thinks I have cystitis, basically a bladder infection. I have to avoid alcohol because that's the worst thing for it and come back in two weeks. If I still have microscopic blood in my urine then he's going to send me to a specialist to make sure it's nothing else.
I hate this shit, but I'm not whining. I know Maggot just went through a lot worse. At least I don't have to get a hose stuck up my ass.

He "thinks" you have cystitis? I hate when they say that. Are you on antibiotics? What about the head thing?

It would only sound like that to someone with the mental capacity of a 5-year-old, one who is pouting for some reason perhaps?
I've congratulated aussie when she finished assignments, finished semesters, etc...for years now, dufus. Try to keep pace. Of course I'd congratulate her sincerely on the accomplishment.

I've commented to aussie about her studies for years now, dufus.
HotD, I love you (and Sally).
You both use adjectives that I hold dear to my heart frequently (moron, dufus, etc.)
If either of you ever need me to simply 'hold' you, just let me know.
My hands will probably wander to your breasts however.
Just being honest.

I asked him about antibiotics and he said not now, just avoid all of my favorite things. Alcohol and spicy food.
He wanted to give me a shot of prednisone in my neck for the head thing, but I said no. It's not that bad, I only feel it when I lay down or take a deep breath through my nose. I'm going to make an appointment with an ENT just to make sure I don't have a nasal cavity tumor.

Sounds like a good plan.
I mean, why waste a perfectly good cheese grater when there are quicker ways to get your balls ripped to shreds?

Thanks HoTD, I have been under such psychological stress this semester, it has kind of been like a personal hell. And no one could help me or go though what I am going through.
I am still processing that I am free now for a few months. The last subject is so easy, I will be able to carry on my normal work hours and it wont impact on me much financially.
Having said that, I have a man trying to get into my purse and not my pants. Here he is

He's been getting away with that shit for years -- so many repeat victims.
Enjoy your freedom -- gotta be a relief to get a breather.
And, enjoy your salary increase -- always nice to be rewarded for achievement (even when the big man in the slick red suit ends up getting a piece --of the extra money, I mean).

That's wonderful to read, Aussie. Congratulations! I know how busy you've been and how focused you've remained on your studies the past few months. I'm happy you'll have a much lighter schedule and can enjoy the holidays the way you like to. I can't imagine the difficulty of a full time job, working on your masters and being a single parent.

Well shit...I probably shouldn't mention that I've never had one either, and my sister had breast cancer.
I am not alone in the land of denial.
Get your Tas Tas checked, bitches. I have and I'm only 35. I go to gyno yearly. I am also diagnosed with fibro cystic breast disease. Just sayin.
