I got the custom box of chocolates and a nice card and 2 dozen roses.
GF has been sick and still isn't really ready for prime time so I guess I am cooking instead of going out.
What ya got planned?

I just dipped 2 lbs. of strawberries in 72% dark chocolate.
None are for me.
The chilled Bollinger, in the frig, is ALL mine!

I'm taking Leeanne to her favourite French restaurant in Newcastle.
Obviously much less healthy than eating candy for breakfast but you do what you can.
If I want the food they serve to be healthier I will just ask them to fry it and cover it in melted cheese, et voila!
We need to punish the French, ignore the Germans and forgive the Russians - Condoleezza Rice.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I find all that stuff boring and contrived. Pass.

It worked itself out so that my wife and I can go to happy hour tomorrow for a bit, and then come home.
I won't be buying candy or sending flowers and she's in agreement. She picked out a new purse/hand bag a few weeks back and asked if she could have that for VD. I said sure.
She's buying me a dozen Titleist ProV1x golf balls.
We are both ecstatic with our gifts.

Yeah. Mr Bee is taking me out for breakfast on Saturday. And he is getting me chocolate. I replaced the old frying pan he hated, and got him some odds and ends he wanted.

Never mind that the little butterball loves grilled cheese and peanut butter and banana sandwiches, but what kind of breakfast cereal are you talking about there, Elvis?

Or breakfast cereals morning, noon and night.

What you would call a "grilled cheese".
You think you're gonna go around fucking with me in every thread? I will stick that peanut butter sandwich right up your fat greasy ass, chubbers.

Good Man.
I don't care how "Contrived" some people see it. There are certain things that a Gentleman does Period. Opening doors for ladies at home, the car, grocery store or Ace Hardware doesn't matter, black, white, blind, crippled or crazy, yours or a stranger, its what you do. Besides, my ancestors would come out and haunt me if I didn't.
Same deal with Valentines Day, if your in my life your getting some recognition in the traditional manner. I got the ladies here at the office covered, GF's mom and of course the GF.
This one has been here putting up with my bullshit for 10 years, she's special.

Busted.
I'm not even gonna ask what you plan on doing with the banana.

It's nice that you appreciate each other and still make romantic gestures; maybe one reason you've been together so long? Happy Valentine's Day, Six.
I've got nothing going on here other than too many people calling in sick this week and all kinds of emergencies. I look and feel drained. But, there will be a nice long phone call tonight for sure.
If it calms down this evening, I'd like to have a couple of glasses of wine and maybe a bit of extra dark chocolate. That sounds lovely to me.

Well, one Valentine's Day you might find yourself pickled and decide to offer some guy olive your heart anyway...
And, he could turn out to be one sweet dilly.
(Yeah, I was kinda looking for an excuse to post another classic Valentine card - love 'em - not a Hallmark though.)

This one made me think of my friend aussie, in the throes of infatuation when February rolls around.
Well, it did.

I fell asleep on the job last night.
Well actually, I never started working.
Oh well, I warned her, if I start drinking too early, I'm no good late.
Maybe that was part of her plan?

All the boys would have been hoping to get this one from nrkerr...
She only would have given it to about half of them, though.
