If your home was in the middle of an ocean you may have that luxury

I don't foresee that in my future but I wouldn't mind the middle of nowhere on land.

I would choose Bavaria Germany for my secluded home. It is spectacular there.

What do y'all think has happened to the passengers? Care to venture a guess?

I can't recall where I read this but I did see it said that the plane had climbed to 45,000 feet at one point.

What Zero said. Depressurized the cabin.

I think they're all dead. I can't imagine a pilot suicide...what would be the point of flying under the radar for 4-6 hours if you wanted to end it all.

It's the IRANIANS...I think.

There was an engineer on this flight who gave his wife his rings & watch, said "in case something happens". Right before I quit flying I thought every flight I was on was going to end in disaster but I never gave anyone my stuff for safe keeping. I know people do weird things but I found that a curious comment to make.

Given his technical education and experience with plane engineering, he needs to be checked out completely. Interesting possibility.

Mohd Khairul Amri Selamat, 29

Wonder if he had any personal connection to either of the pilots?

I believe the plane was intentionally diverted -- consistent findings from the various investigative teams leave little room for doubt there.

The older pilot seems to be the most likely suspect to me right now, but that may only be because there is some information about his personal life known to me and very little has been revealed about the passengers (other than the flight Engineer pictured above). How many of the others were also politically active and/or experiencing turmoil in their personal or professional lives? What's the story behind the four (originally reported as five) passengers who checked in and never boarded? Why was the Iranian who was traveling on a stolen passport seeking asylum in Europe?

Anyway, no matter who was behind the flight diversion, I can't see a reason to keep the passengers alive. If there were going to be hostage demands made and responsibility claimed, I think that would already have been done. I think the passengers are dead, sadly.

Interesting reading everybody's theories.

Another morning of waking up to reports of misinformation, wrong timelines and being told they don't really have anything.

Whatever faith I had in this search effort is gone.

How DOES a plane full of people just disappear without a trace?? This whole thing is messed up. All kinds of speculation and false media reports. What is the real story here? I'm starting to think we, as on the regular public, will never hear the complete true story.

I don't know. Downed planes leave evidence behind, floating luggage, bodies, plane parts, etc.

It would be exceedingly hard but not impossible to land & hide a plane in this age of technology. Countries do not want to share their satellite pix for security reasons, I understand that, not easy to accept but I do "get" it.

I feel like a lot of time has been wasted.

If his goal was to ditch this plane in the middle of the Indian Ocean without a trace, he's got a pretty good start.

It's a rare thing when my hunches prove to be correct, but, for reasons still not known. I believe the senior pilot has in fact crashed the plane somewhere in the Indian Ocean.

If that's true, and there's eventually proof that it happened, the government will have a hard time acknowledging it. Imagine trying to convince passengers that a pilot WON'T be suicidal when boarding a flight.

Anyway, the more time that passes without a trace of the plane, the more I believe that the pilot was behind it all.

I have a hunch that five days from now when he quotes his quoted post for posterity, it'll all fall into place.

Cortney Love knows where the plane is. If I wasn't on my phone, I would show you.

I believe there are plenty of people that know exactly where this plane is.

Are you discussing this with your wife? I ask because she flew home in tears the last time. You should probably consider yourself lucky you're getting her back up in the air.

I'm no expert but up close this does look like a plane and an oil slick. http://www.tomnod.com/nod/challenge/mala...map/128148 … prayers go out to the families ‪#‎MH370‬ and its like a mile away Pulau Perak, where they "last" tracked it 5°39'08.5"N 98°50'38.0"E but what do I know?

I don't see the plane in Courtney's photo; I just see a potato in the shape of Richard Nixon's head.

Anyway, with Courtney Love and Rupert Murdoch on the case, this mystery is bound to be solved quickly.

EDIT: Oops, posting at the same time as Duchess. It's a theory worthy of double exposure, though.
