What do you mean?
Foreign tourists who have light skin are allowed to take photos in Cuba -- even the tall ones.
Plus, light-skinned (and blonde) Cubans are not a rarity.
Anyway, I can see why you'd want to photograph Cuba. I'll probably not make it to most of the interesting places that I daydream about visiting because there are so many, but Cuba's at the top of the list and I now think it'll happen.

I's like to go back to Quebec. I love it up there.

Well that's good to hear another perspective. A lot of people I've spoken to have said the 'gringos' aren't really welcome off the beaten track with a camera taking pictures.

I get your drift now, crash.
I've seen a lot of spectacular shots of Cuba taken by tourists and have German friends who've gone several times to scuba dive without encountering any problems (beautiful underwater photography opps).
What you heard might be right, though. I don't know about going far off the beaten path and what you might encounter if you were taking shots of things that locals don't want photographed for some reason.
Encouraging that some of the travel restrictions against American tourists were lifted last year, but it still takes a lot of planning, going through another country and/or with an organized Cuban-owned tour group (group travel packages are not up my alley), and having purposes within defined parameters for being there. I don't think Australians face as many restrictions as you all have better relations with Cuba, but still not easy to get there logistically AFAIK.
Anyway, the travel shots you've posted are really really good -- hope to see Cuba pics some day.
