I just went to read a little about it. The national guard shot 13 students and killed four of them. Oh my gods.

Is it better to have some freedom rather than no freedom at all? Sure, but only if you use it in a manner that increases it. If it's taken for granted it's nothing more than window dressing. The only rights we truly have are those we can defend.

I just listened to a couple of student activists at Columbia. The university had given the protesters a deadline to breakup their encampment and leave. The deadline came & went and the students are still there. One of the student activists was a young woman who needs a serious attitude adjustment. I wanted to slap her and I'm someone who has been defending Palestinian people ever since this shit first went down. Her attitude was one of my way or the highway. She was a little snot. I don't support that bullshit. There is a way to get shit accomplished and her way is not it.
