Did they check the Batesville Motel?

Jessica's father reported early on that she had a gash on her head. He's also the one who reported that someone had put lighter fluid in Jessica's nose and mouth and lit her on fire. I'm curious to learn the Medical Examiner's findings and how they support and/or contradict the information supplied by unofficial sources thus far.

Jessica's father was the media source for the lighter fluid comment, the earliest statement I can find was from December 9 ("police and doctors" were cited as the source of the information). However, on 7 December at 2:26 am (this is before Jessica died at 3 am) Ali Alsanai posted to his Facebook page, "They pour gasoline in her mouth... Then set the car on fire".
Ali Alsanai is the 19 year old owner of the gas station where Jessica put $14. (according to Ali) worth of gas in her car an hour and a half before being discovered. He is also the source of the CCTV video showing Jessica pumping gas. The footage was discovered by a reporter 96 hours after the attack, police did not go to the gas station to get the footage, and the footage is not the raw footage but was edited by either Ali or someone known to him before it was given to the reporter (and subsequent other news stations). There are many versions of the tape out there-with a full minute of the video disappearing while Jessica is pumping gas at pump #1, and an unknown person is pumping gas into a what looks like a milk jug at pump #2. The time stamp goes from 6:25:00 to 6:26:00 and the unknown person seems to materialize out of thin air. This crime may go deeper and have many more players than we are being told about by mainstream media. Anonymous has taken an interest in this case and are providing a lot of information and screen shots of social media written by local gang bangers/thugs.

Thanks, Cheyne.
I'm hoping that LE and the D.A. are all over the gang angle being touted by Anonymous (and The Conservative Treehouse). Basically, the claim is that ^ Ali Alsanai (left) -- the 19 year old gas station owner who's been quoted in the media as claiming that Jessica was fine that night, who provided what appears to be an edited surveillance video to a local reporter (which was then given to police), and who commented on social media about the lighter fluid being poured down Jessica's throat before mainstream media got the same info from Jessica's dad -- is a member or associate of the Black Squad gang in Panola County. Further, Jessica is said to have dated two of the gang members, most seriously Bryan Rudd (pictured above with Jessica). It is alleged by some that he was abusive to Jessica. And, there are unsubstantiated allegations that DA John Champion and Sheriff Dennis Darby are corrupt and not really investigating this crime. Anonymous hacktivists have gotten involved and scoured some of the alleged gang members accounts. They posted the below comment from an alleged girlfriend of a Black Squad member about "barbecuing bitches". I've seen a lot of comments from case followers speculating that a woman might be behind the torching. There is no evidence to connect the girl's comment to what happened to Jessica, but here it is anyway: Some of the gossip, Anonymous insinuations, and local chatter could be valid and have a bearing on the case (like in Holly Bobo's case where it seems everyone but the cops knew which local criminals/thugs allegedly kidnapped and killed Holly from early on). Or, it could mostly/fully be irrelevant to what happened to Jessica Chambers, as it is in many cases. NOTE: It's okay to post local talk, social media claims, and locals' opinions in this case, so long as they are clearly qualified as such -- do not post and and present such information as fact, for obvious reasons. LC didn't much care for such information, but she didn't prohibit it in some cases. Ref: http://www.inquisitr.com/1678735/hacktiv...nce-found/

12 December 2014 the Department of Justice sent some Community Relations Service members to Panola County MS.
The officials are members of the DOJ’s Community Relations Service, also known as “The Peacemakers,” a special unit established under the 1964 Civil Rights Act and empowered to act to mitigate local tensions between ethnic groups. From the CRS website: It is the only Federal entity dedicated to assisting state and local government units, private and public organizations, and community groups with preventing and resolving racial and ethnic tensions, incidents, and civil disorders. The CRS works to restore stability and accord. UPDATE: 2:00pm 12/9/14 (EST) "Coincidentally" DOJ Attorney General Eric Holder is in Mississippi today for a My Brother’s Keeper speech. Notably he cancelled a following timed engagement for "pressing matters". In addition, according to people on the ground in Panola County, the DOJ-CRS entered the case this morning. For those of you unfamiliar, the DOJ-CRS is the federal "Department of Justice – Community Relations Service". The CRS involvement means essentially that local officials and MBI (Mississippi Bureau of Investigation) will have specific guidelines to follow with any/all media contacts. The media will be given a specific, sensitive, heavily controlled messaging narrative. Why would DOJ need to send the CRS to Panola County because a young woman was burned to death? Do they already know who killed Jessica Chambers? Are they anticipating civil unrest? Are they there to protect suspected gang members? Or are they there to protect the narrative, to make sure that the most PC version of events are what the media reports? I do not believe this was a bias crime, that Jessica was killed solely because she was white. However, I do believe that the local Black Squad gang was responsible or at least knows who killed her and why.

^ I was going to throw the racial revenge factor out there (for everything that's gone on nationally in the past few months) but didn't want to get too far ahead on a hunch without any sort of evidence.

I have seen nothing to indicate that Jessica was not liked and accepted within the community -- black, white, and all. Her circle of friends and associates seemed diverse.
However, from the JusticeForJessica Facebook page, I did follow some links that verify that Jessica was arrested twice for simple assault -- in June 2013 and August 2014. The records were found in local newspaper arrest listings. I don't know the disposition of those charges. Those recent arrests for assault, however, suggest to me that she was probably not completely free of enemies, as her mother and sister told the media. I also followed a link to similar newspaper records for drug possession arrest of Ben Chambers Jr. (he was Jessica's brother who was 12 years older than she and died in a car accident in 2012) and drug manufacturing arrest for Ben Chambers Sr. (Jessica's dad who now works as a mechanic for the Panola Sheriff's Dept). Those arrests occurred back in 2003. Whether Jessica's arrests or those of her family members are in any way related to her death, I don't know. There is a lot of rumor, conspiracy theory, and strangeness enveloping this case and not a lot of confirmed facts. The investigation, however, is not being handled by a couple of inexperienced podunkers. Keep in mind that the The U. S. Marshals Service, ATF, and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are working in conjunction with Panola County investigators to solve the case. Hopefully, the autopsy results will be complete (and released) tomorrow so we have case-specific facts to add to the mix. Yesterday, Jessica Lane Chambers was laid to rest. RIP. I can't imagine just one person being involved. It's so horrific that more than one person did this to have to had carried this out and egg eachother on. These people had to be high on drugs when burning her alive. Anonymous also has gotten involved and believes this to be gang related.

It has been been 9 days since Jessica died -- not a very long time to investigate, gather evidence, and make an arrest(s).
AFAIK, the autopsy results are not even complete yet. The D.A. said he wouldn't release any autopsy results once they're complete, but I suspect some will find their way to the media. Anyway, I'm hoping that Anonymous is not causing more harm than good in this case by possibly putting already LE-tagged suspects on alert or going down the wrong path and getting community members at odds unnecessarily. It may be that local LE, the MBI, and the ATF are and have been doing everything they should be doing from the get-go, IMO. Looking forward to an LE-update, hopefully soon.

Last night I was glad to read your post that said something to the effect of this wasn't an investigation being run by backwoods podunks. After watching the DA & Sheriff I was sorta thinking it might be. I was surprised to read what Cheyne posted, the reference to the gang and her boyfriend being abusive and even the FB posts.

Looks like the DOJ-CRS is already at work.
Ali Alsanai defends himself Not wanting to be considered Islamphobic, the DOJ and the media are going to make sure that Ali gets to refute the pictures and postings he did on Facebook. My opinion, Ali is an idiot even if he didn't have anything to do with Jessica's murder. Flashing thousands of dollars, an AK, and wearing a handgun while in his store are going to get the interest of the IRS and ATF. The state of Mississippi allows 18 years olds to carry handguns only if they are in the military or have VETERAN on their drivers license. Something tells me Ali isn't a veteran.

I'm curious, Cheyne.
What makes you think the DOJ-CRS has anything to do with Alsanai defending himself in the media against unsubstantiated allegations that he's a gang member or gang leader? What do you think would be the DOJ's motive? I'm not saying you're wrong; I have no way of knowing if there's a link. I'm just interested in hearing your rationale for connecting the DOJ's reported interest in this case to Alsanai's latest media statements.

I'm really curious to know how he knew details about her death before they were even reported, unless I have misunderstood that.
12-16-2014, 09:02 AM
Well, I'm sure he was interviewed by police since his station was one the last places she was seen.
12-16-2014, 09:20 AM
Well, if investigators are sharing details of a crime with the person they are interviewing then I am back to thinking they are backwoods podunks.

There may well be backwoods podunks involved in the investigation, but this is a multi-agency investigation and I wouldn't call the ATF or the US Marshals podunks. I don't know much about the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, so I can't comment there. Alsanai's gas station/market was right up the road from the fire scene. He could have gone to the scene and drawn his own conclusions. He could have been handed that speculation from someone else who went to gawk and then stopped at his store. As Cutz indicated, he might have been interviewed by police right after the fire and come up with his own narrative or been handed the info by investigators. He might have been involved or in-the-know regarding Jessica's death (in which case, he's a grade A moron for incriminating himself immediately on Facebook). Plenty of ways he could have ended up with the information/impression that gasoline was poured in Jessica's mouth. Anyway, we don't know yet if what he posted is even accurate information, in any event. We know an accelerant was used in the fire, but we don't know if it was poured in Jessica's mouth or if was actually gasoline. Hopefully, we'll know soon.

^ Well don't stop running it!
At this point, we're all just considering different angles and speculating until there are more facts available to us. Considering different angles and speculating -- that's all that Anonymous and conservative bloggers are doing as well. Some of their data pieces check out, but do they all tie together and figure into Jessica's death in any way? Maybe. Maybe not.

ABOUT THE EX-BOYFRIEND...
One week later and police have no answers on who could have been behind the death of Jessica Chambers. One thing is clear, investigators say Jessica's ex-boyfriend is not a suspect, despite what social media is saying. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but what if the words aren't true? "Lord knows that right now, I hate that I ever put that picture on Facebook, I do," said Theresa Fleming, who is the mother of Jessica's ex-boyfriend. "When we found out Jessica had passed, I put something on my Facebook page, it was a picture that I had of Jessica," Fleming exclusively told WMC Action News 5. She says the photo of her son Bryan Rudd kissing Jessica when they dated a few years ago is causing a firestorm on social media. "They took it and they put Bryan's picture on the web all over the world, and was basically accusing him of being an abusive ex-boyfriend, and possibly even a killer, they accused him of being a gang member," Fleming said. Bryan Rudd now lives in Iowa, says he has nothing to do with Jessica's murder, and is heartbroken to hear about what happened to his old girlfriend. His mom is angry that online rumors are quickly spreading in the small community. She wants to set the record straight, "I hope that they find who killed Jessica." Fleming says her family is praying for the arrest of whoever killed Jessica and a community that now seems to be skeptical of anyone. "I hope that Panola County can stay strong, and not feed into all this hatred and lies that's being spread around town because it's not going to help us, it will only divide us and a house divided cannot stand." http://img.vrvm.com/media/render.htm?m=8...&width=320 |
