The Kid's a golfer too. He might have some tips on what sally should get her husband to help him club his balls like a boss.
Kid might even have some good advice on ball sacks (or bags or pouches, not sure what they call 'em). Sal needs to be extra careful with those types of accessories, though. As F.U. pointed out, bags and sacks and such are just as dangerous as loaded guns in homes with children.
It's a precarious world we live in today. Makes gift selection a real pain in the ass.

Really? Why? I like beans in the chili. I guess cuz that's how my mom always made it.

I was trying to make a joke but it was a big ass fail. Whenever I think about our discussions in here I always recall the chili - beans or no beans, great debate. It was proof we'll argue anything, sometimes for days and it always makes me laugh. Meh. I see humor in the oddest things.

Now I have another dilemma, I don't have a box for the stupid Ping driver. I also learned from the golf guy that I don't know what type of swing he has so this golf club might not work for him. PITA, I hate shopping for gifts for him.

Beans of course. They add texture as Gail Simmons (Top Chef) would say.

He's never owned a gun, but that doesn't matter. It's not rocket science. What are your suggestions?
For $3-5 hundred bucks you wont find a modern sporting rifle. That is unless you know someone that deals black market. If he does not already own a firearm, and does not know how to handle them, I would suggest a 22 rifle [they do make models of those that look like a AR-15 for that kinda money

Or a nice pump shotgun. [

That would be a great way of getting into the firearm game without breaking the bank.
I would also suggest a membership at a local range where there is a instructor to teach him the ins and outs of the gun as well as firearm safety.
A nice locking hard case would be a great addition for a new firearm owner. That way they could transport the firearm as well as store it safely.
Then if you are not at the end of this budget, ammo, ammo, ammo.
