Your kids go to church? I hope you mean you go as a family or you're an even bigger prick than I thought you were before.

Yes as a family.
Still just a little prick.

The only time I said grace was when we visited my grandparents, and even as a young kid it felt ridiculous.
I would never force such idiotic rituals on my kids unless we were at someone else's house and it was just to be polite and show respect to their home.

Do any of you say grace before dinner? Father Clang?
Yes. I have it memorized.
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit...
Bless us Oh Lord and these thy gifts which we are about to receive, from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
May God provide for the wants of the poor and may the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace. Amen.

Come Lord Jesus, be our guest, let this food which you have given to us be blessed.
Can I hear an Amen???
Now that I think about prayers, I remember the one I was taught to say before bed as a child...
"Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take".
Is it any wonder I'm screwed up? Huh???
Christians are a weird lot.

We pray before every meal, if we are out we do it too, but we are discreet. If we forget, we thank afterwards. It's about not taking for granted our life, and we look forward to it getting better, but I think we need to be grateful for what we have.

Praying doesn't make any sense to me. You may as well just say this...
Dear Lord
Thank you for giving us all this food to stuff our fat faces with. We're grateful that you like us better than these poor fucks.
Amen.

I remember that one too. Nothing like scaring the shit out of the little ones that they might die in their sleep.

I'm a lapsed Catholic. According to what the church pushes I sin every single day and I'm not doing anything more than living my life. I'm not hurting people or breaking the law but viewed by those in the church I am a dreadful person who will probably burn in hell.

I'm probably going to Hell too, so you're in good company. I'm a "practicing" faithful Catholic in the eyes of the Church but thats only because I keep my crossdressing, masturbating, other perversions and sins on the down low. I'm technically a lapsed Catholic too at the moment. I haven't been to Church in almost 3 months. And haven't been to Confession in over a year.
I like how my college Intervarsity Christian Fellowship group always said "Hate the sin, not the sinner."

LOL. I'm screwed up. I only know that children's prayer from listening to Metallica's Enter Sandman.
