DRONES VS YOUR PRIVACY

Similarly I don't think semi automatic weapons are a necessity though either.

"Texting" on cells seemed like a good idea when it was first introduced to the public.

"They" never imagined how eventually Texting while driving could become such a growing trend, and a national epidemic, becoming one of the country's top killers! Driver's assume hey can handle Texting while driving, statistics prove they can't!

Eventually maybe (hopefully) technology will catch up with technology. Your car ought to be able to disable texting capabilities while you're driving (your phone loses it's text function in a car that's on).

I guess they'd have to figure out how to differentiate the driver from passengers but I have a lot of faith in programmers and engineers.

Drones? I don't think some cool pics are worth the stupid things. Then again, pretty soon we'll all probably have little space cars like the Jetson's so "airway traffic" will, I'm afraid, only get more complicated.

Unless someone lives under a rock we have all seen the dangers of texting while driving and there is still a large segment of the population that doesn't have one single fuck to give about their own safety let alone the safety of others on the same road. That's why I don't have a single fuck to give when the run into the back of a semi or off the road into a tree. They deserve their own injury, maiming or death.

Nobody needs a fancy car or two either, or a nice fancy house, or a cell phone. People managed just fine for several thousand years with no phone at all and not a neccesity.
Just because there some assholes out there is No reason to ban anything.
There is this concept called "Responsibility for your own shit" that comes into play.
The issue of "Drones" is an issue because the technology has become cheap and popular. Unfortunately there irrisponsible assholes out there that don't give a shit about that.
The solution is to make some basic responsible rules that everyone can live with. The technology for civilian owned and operated camera loaded unmaned aircraft has been around for at least 40 years. My stepdad has one he built back in 1970 and it still works.

So make the rules for public safety and common sense and enforce them and everyone will be fine. There are already a lot of rules about operating RC vehicles around airports and shining lasers at aircraft, but some people break the rules anyway. Put their ass in jail and confiscate their toys.
Don't be fucking with the rest of us.

There's always going to be those who screw things up for everyone else who do use their common sense and/or do the right thing.

I just got a Black Friday ad for Target and they are selling reasonably priced drones. I'm talkin' a few hundred bucks, not a few thousand. Everybody and their brother will have one of those lil' bastards.

Let's predict when the '1st drone to take down a commercial jet' will take place.

Some kid will use one to bomb a school or something and that will be the end of that. Then we could have a thread like "drones don't kill do they?

DJI sold 1 million last year, Expecting 4 million this year. Some of them in the zip code of $1500 for their phantoms. They are not going away any time soon. Some thoughtful legislation seems to be in order because of the stupid factor. But so far, nada.
Some of them are cool as hell, Imaging being able to launch your drone with a camera and have it follow you down a ski slope, mountain bike trail or wherever. These are plug and play, very little programming and setup necessary.

Drones need to be regulated because as it stands now if you shoot one out of the sky over your private property you can be prosecuted. That's a crock of shit.

I have a painting in my bedroom of a Sopwith camel in a dogfight.

Drones are illegal in National Parks. Which, if I were going to use one, here is where I would do so. There is a video of the area from someone using a drone camera before they announced it was illegal and it is a pretty cool shot.
To be a feminist is simply to believe that everybody should be treated equally, regardless of sex. It means you think that there should be equality of the sexes economically, socially, politically and personally. When you put it like that, it’s surely difficult for anybody to deny being a feminist. But for such a simple concept, it is often dramatically misunderstood.
