Hubby got a new car
#1
This is just a personal, BS thread. Move on if I am my usual boring self. So, Mr.Bee and I have leased our cars for the past 6 or so years. We figure that at our advancing ages, a lease may be easier to break if one of us kicks off. Our last two leases have been a Nissan Cube for me,and a Rogue for him.
I always liked my Cube, except in this last winter, the damn thing did not behave well. So I said I wanted a 4WD or AWD next time. SO we discussed turning in the Cube for an early lease buy out in the fall, and getting him a new car,and giving me his Rogue for remainder of lease. I aid fine.
Last Saturday he told me he was going out to a dealership "just to look". My radar should have kicked in then, but it did not. I went out for groceries, came home to ringing phone. "Honey, bring your Cube out to Vision Nissan in about an hour. " Why I ask. He went and did the trade that day. Got himself a 2015 Rogue on lease, trading my car.
Needless to say, I was a bit taken aback. Few months early and all. Andd we had just bought a new recliner chair, and a few other things.
I was not happy and he could not see why. BUT, I guess what is done is done, and he is happy.

So he got a new Rogue and you got his old one? Never ever go to a dealer to just look.

Well, in husband's defense, I had agreed to the plan. He still wants an electric or Hybrid, thought that was what he was waiting for. Oh well. But, his old Rogue (old meaning 2013) will still treat me better than my old Cube. So I cannot complain too much. I may bitch, but never complain.

And therin lies the secret to co-existance.

BG is right but some "surprises" aren't pleasant and that can certainly be true where money is concerned. I took my husband's old car once while he bought himself a brand new Lexus. Same thing...his old car was better than the one I had but still. Somehow now we've sort of gotten in to a deal where we take turns getting the new car. I like that. He just got his new Jeep about 6 months ago. My car is only a couple years old but hell, we're going to have to think about what the kids might drive periodically in the very near future. O-O.

Get a hoopty. That's what I bought up until I had my first kid. Pay a couple hundred bucks for it, and when it dies on the side of the road you call a cab and never look back. I actualy had an Electra (224) that lasted me 5-6 years. I loved that hoopty.
